課程概述 |
This course is intended to introduce the function and performance of plants in their environment (plant ecophysiology), including discussion on the interaction between plants and environment and measurements of the environment and of the physiological and morphological response of the plants. Four major topics including leaf energy budget, plant water economy, plant carbon acquisition and utilization, and stable isotopes in ecological studies will be discussed in the course. |

課程目標 |
The objectives of this course are to guide the participants (1) to understand the constrains imposed on plants by the environments, (2) to explore the underlying mechanisms attributes to distribution of plants, and (3) to engage in developing ecophysiological approach for answering questions that originated from agriculture, horticulture, forestry and environmental science. |
